AVETMISS Error – Student’s First Given Name must not be blank

This AVETMISS error appears if for some reason, student’s first given name is left blank.

To fix this error, you can go to TEAMS > Student > General > Student Entry screen. On this screen, you have to enter the given first name of the required student in the First name field and save the screen to remove this error.

If the student is having only one single name then you need to go to the USI form of ID tab. Once you tick the tick box for ‘Does this student have one name?’ then the new mandatory ‘Student name’ field will appear where you can enter the single name for the required student and save the screen to remove this error.
